Artists, artist groups and organisations can apply to exhibit at Haihatus by emailing a free-form application to haihatus@haihatus.fi. Please use EXHIBITION APPLICATION as the subject line.
Haihatus Art Centre’s exhibition spaces are located in the purple Galleria building, the black Fantasia building and the surrounding grounds in Joutsa.
The ground floor of the Galleria building offers approximately 208 m² of white-walled exhibition space across 13 rooms. It can be divided into two or more sections to suit the exhibition.
The blue end of the ground floor has approximately 108 m² of exhibition space, and the red end approximately 92 m².
The building also has approximately 200 m² of rustic, unheated open attic space. The entire attic or a section of approximately 100 m² can be used.
Additional exhibition spaces are available in the black Fantasia building. Use of these spaces and suitable combinations of rooms can be agreed on a case-by-case basis.
Haihatus’s grounds, garden and field cover approximately 1.5 hectares. The grounds also include various outbuildings and other spaces suitable for exhibitions, such as Selostamotorni, Sanavarasto, the stage with its adjoining rooms, and the Siilo fibreglass tower.
Use of outdoor areas and special spaces is agreed separately.
The exhibition fee includes agreed gallery supervision, marketing and publicity.
The fee does not include insurance, installation or dismantling of artworks, transport, opening reception refreshments, printed materials or postage.
Galleria exhibition space rates (2023):
Entire building, approximately 200 m² / 12 rooms + approximately 200 m² attic: €2,000/month
Blue end, approximately 108 m² / rooms 1–7: €1,080/month
Red end, approximately 100 m² / rooms 8–12: €920/month
Attic, approximately 200 m²: €900/month
Use and pricing of smaller exhibition spaces, outdoor areas and outbuildings are agreed on a case-by-case basis.
