The Haihatus Residency open call for artists and other creative professionals is open until October 31, 2026, at 11:59 PM. You can apply as an individual, a duo, or a working group.

The international artist residency at Art Centre Haihatus is located in Joutsa, Central Finland. The residency offers a peaceful environment for independent work, as well as opportunities to meet and collaborate with other resident artists.

The open call welcomes artists from different disciplines, art students, and other creative professionals. There are no requirements regarding completed works or other outcomes, so the residency period can be used to focus on your own practice and develop your project. If you wish, you can also organize an exhibition, performance, workshop, artist talk, or other event during your residency.
