How can environmental art create new meaning for former peat production areas?

Join the Suosymposium, an open event exploring environmental art, changing landscapes, and the future of transformed environments.

The symposium invites participants to discuss how art can create new meanings and possibilities for landscapes that have undergone significant environmental change.

The programme includes expert discussions, artistic presentations, and insights into the experiences and working methods developed through the project. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about Haihatus Art Centre, its unique environment, and its artist residency programme.

The Suosymposium is organised as part of a development project by HUMAK University of Applied Sciences, bringing together professionals in art, cultural production, and environmental fields to explore new perspectives on environmental change and its artistic interpretation.

Haihatus Art Centre and Humak warmly welcome everyone interested in the topic to join this open discussion.
