Virtual Tour: Explore a Selection from the Wonder Exhibition
The summer exhibition Wonder (Lumous) at Haihatus Art Center has gained a new way to experience art alongside the physical display. Artist Joonas Ahtikallio has created a fully virtual tour of the exhibition, offering visitors an alternative way to explore this summer’s collection.
The experience offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the exhibition regardless of location, serving both as an introduction and as a standalone entity. At the same time, the virtual tour sparks curiosity: what does everything look and feel like in the physical space when what’s seen behind the screen gains shape, scent, and sound? Haihatus’s exhibition spaces form a unique environment where art blends with the summer light, the sprawling atmosphere of the old, historically rich courtyard, and the idyllic rural landscape.
The Wonder exhibition is open until the end of August, Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Joutsa (Jousitie 68-70).
A limited preview of the virtual tour is now available, with a more comprehensive version planned for release later in Haihatus’s online store.
Joonas Ahtikallio is a photography and sound artist from Jyväskylä and one of the artists featured in the Wonder summer exhibition. His work combines experimental techniques with playful curiosity. Rooted in a dialogue between exploration, unpredictability and sensitivity, his works invite viewers to see the world differently – slower and with greater curiosity.
Tickets for the exhibition can be purchased in advance at shop.haihatus.fi or on-site at Café Fantasia (the black building). On-site payment methods include major debit/credit cards, cash, as well as the Museum Card and cultural vouchers ePassi and Smartum.
